ABUAD Admission Requirements 2025/2026
All applicants may seek admission through either the Post UTME or Direct Entry methods. The UTME method is intended for those who wish to use their JAMB results for admission.
The Direct Entry method is for individuals with previous qualifications wanting to apply for admission based on those qualifications.
UTME Requirements
Applicants are required to score credit level passes in at least five (5) subjects, which must include both English Language and Mathematics.
Candidates must participate in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organised by JAMB and achieve competitive scores.
A minimum score of 180 in the UTME is required, although higher scores increase the chances of admission.
The subjects selected for the UTME should match the intended area of study.
ABUAD must be designated as the first choice institution during the UTME registration process.
Direct Entry Requirements
To gain direct entry into the 200 level at ABUAD, candidates are required to have five (5) credit passes in their O-Level examinations, as previously mentioned.
Applicants may submit other qualifications, such as a
National Diploma (ND) with an Upper Credit
National Certificate of Education (NCE) with Merit
An interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) score of at least 8 points
Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) with a minimum of 8 points, or other equivalent credentials.
