Provost of the Federal College of Education, Ilawe Ekiti, Dr Smart Olugbeko, has commended Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, for his support towards educational and human capital development in the State. Olugbeko made the remarks in a personally signed congratulatory message to Oyebanji following the governor's re election victory, made available in Ado Ekiti on Monday.
The Provost extended congratulations on behalf of the Governing Council, management, staff and students of the College to His Excellency, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, Governor of Ekiti State, describing the victory as well deserved. He noted, "As an institution dedicated to the training of quality teachers and the advancement of education, we appreciate your administration's continued support for educational development and human capital development."
Olugbeko described the re election as a reflection of the confidence and trust placed in Oyebanji's leadership, policies and commitment to the sustainable development of Ekiti State. He expressed the view that the governor's second term, which begins in October, would bring further progress, innovation and prosperity for residents of the State.
In the message, the Provost prayed that the governor would be granted divine wisdom, sound health, strength and grace to deliver on his promises and lead Ekiti State to greater heights. He added, "Congratulations, Your Excellency, on this remarkable achievement. We wish you a successful and impactful second term in office."
The message forms part of a series of reactions from institutional and public figures across Ekiti State following the conclusion of the governorship election, with Oyebanji set to be sworn in for a second term when his current tenure elapses in October.
