The National Youth Service Corps has announced that the 2026 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course will begin on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, running simultaneously across all orientation camps in the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

The three week programme is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, 26th August 2026, with prospective corps members already able to access their call up numbers via their dashboards. Call up letters, the corps said, will be made available in due course.

The NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has congratulated all prospective corps members mobilised for the service year, acknowledging the successful completion of their studies in higher institutions both within and outside Nigeria as the basis for their qualification for national service.

Nafiu also issued a safety advisory ahead of the camp convergence, strongly urging corps members to avoid night travel and to comply strictly with all travel and safety guidelines throughout their journey to their respective orientation camps.

The NYSC did not indicate any exceptions to the August 5 commencement date, suggesting all camps will open on schedule regardless of state or geopolitical zone.
