State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Igbo-Eno, Enugu State, has commenced the sale of its Post UTME screening form for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified UTME, Direct Entry and inter-university transfer candidates seeking admission into the university's undergraduate programmes.
Candidates who selected SUMAS as their first choice institution and scored at least 150 in the 2026 UTME can apply. Those who did not initially choose SUMAS may still be considered after changing their first choice institution to SUMAS through JAMB CAPS.
Who Can Apply for SUMAS Post UTME?
Candidates are eligible to apply if they:
Sat for the 2026 UTME and met the JAMB cut off mark 150.
Obtained the 2026/2027 JAMB Direct Entry form.
Selected SUMAS as their first choice institution on JAMB CAPS.
Are willing to change their first choice institution to SUMAS before admission consideration.
The screening is also open to Direct Entry and inter-university transfer candidates.
SUMAS Post UTME Cut Off Mark
The minimum UTME score required for admission consideration is 150.
Candidates who score below 150 are not eligible to participate in the screening exercise.
SUMAS Admission Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
Be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026.
Score 150 or above in the 2026 UTME.
Possess at least five O'Level credit passes in relevant subjects.
Include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other relevant subjects.
Upload O'Level results on JAMB CAPS.
Pay the non refundable screening fee of ₦2,000.
For Medicine and Surgery, all required O'Level credits must be obtained in one sitting.
For other programmes, the credits may be obtained in not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry Requirements
Medicine and Surgery
Candidates applying through Direct Entry into Medicine and Surgery must possess:
A minimum of Second Class Upper Division (2:1) in a relevant degree programme, or
Upper Credit in HND from a recognised institution.
The awarding institution must also clear the candidate through the JAMB e-facility platform.
Other Programmes
Candidates seeking Direct Entry admission into other courses must possess:
A minimum of Second Class Lower Division in a degree programme, or
Equivalent qualification in OND or HND.
The awarding institution must also verify and clear the qualification through https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.

Candidates should complete the application online through the SUMAS admission portal.

Complete the online application form.
Pay the screening fee of ₦2,000.
Use your JAMB registration number as the payment narration.
