Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why Do Fees differ between Indigenes and Non indigenes?
A: Indigenes (students from Delta State) typically pay lower school fees compared to non indigenes. This is a common practice in Nigerian state universities.

Q: Are Fees the same for all Courses?
A: No, as some courses (e.g., Engineering, Medicine, Law) may attract higher fees than others, like Arts or Education.

Q: Do Returning Students pay the same fees as freshers?
A: Returning students typically pay slightly lower fees than freshers but still pay the session’s charges, which vary by faculty and status.

Q: Is there a Hostel/Accommodation Fee?
A: Yes. Students living on campus pay hostel fees, which vary each session and are separate from tuition and school fees.

Q: What Happens if I don’t pay my fees on time?
A: Late or incomplete payment can affect your ability to register for courses or sit exams, and the university may impose restrictions until fees are cleared.
