The University of Uyo has handed over 10 brand new official vehicles to principal officers and senior management staff, with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Christopher N. Ekong, describing the acquisition as part of his administration's commitment to enhancing administrative efficiency and institutional mobility.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the foyer of the Central Administrative Block on the university's Main Campus, Nwaniba Road, Ekong said efficient transportation was crucial for officers who regularly represent the university at official engagements, supervise activities across campuses and coordinate academic and administrative operations.
He expressed confidence that the vehicles would improve service delivery and enable management staff to discharge their responsibilities more effectively.
