Candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination can now change their Institution or course of choice, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has confirmed, with result slip printing commencing today, Monday, 18th May, 2026.

JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin disclosed that the examination body has officially activated the process, directing candidates to accredited Computer Based Test centres across the country to complete the exercise.

"Candidates wishing to change their institution or programme of choice may now proceed to do so by visiting any of the Board's approved CBT," the statement read.

The Board further revealed that candidates seeking adjustments to their institution or programme selection must visit any of the approved CBT centres nationwide to effect the changes. JAMB did not indicate a deadline for the exercise, but urged candidates to act promptly.

Today equally marks a significant milestone for candidates awaiting official documentation of their scores. Benjamin confirmed that the printing of original result slips began this Monday, 18th May, 2026, a development thousands of candidates have anticipated since the conclusion of the examination.

"Furthermore, the printing of the original 2026 UTME result slip will commence on Monday, 18th May, 2026," Benjamin stated.

Candidates are advised to visit only JAMB accredited CBT centres for both the change of Institution process and result slip printing, as the Board continues to warn against the use of unauthorised channels.

The dual announcement comes as candidates across Nigeria map out their next steps in the admissions process. JAMB has consistently maintained that all post examination activities must be conducted through official and approved platforms to safeguard the integrity of candidates' records.

Those visiting CBT centres have been advised to arrive with the necessary login credentials and supporting documents to avoid delays during the process.
