De Imperial Philanthropic Family (DIPF) has successfully hosted its 2025 Scholarship Award Ceremony in Awka, Anambra State, recognising 25 of the brightest young minds across the South East geopolitical zone for their outstanding performance in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The event, held on Thursday, 12 February 2026, saw each of the 25 recipients walk away with ₦1,000,000, bringing the total scholarship disbursement to ₦25,000,000. Candidates were required to have scored 250 and above in the 2025 UTME before competing in a further scholarship examination organised by Best Brain Contest on behalf of DIPF. Five students from each South East state were selected strictly on merit.
DIPF National President, High Chief Dr Sir Darlington Nwabunike, addressed the gathering and urged the beneficiaries to remain disciplined and committed to excellence. He described the initiative as part of DIPF's broader vision of using education as a tool for youth empowerment, regional advancement and nation building.
Education Committee Chairman Chief Chikezie Okonkwo praised the students for their brilliance and recognised the Best Brain Contest, owned by Dr Frank Igbojindu, for conducting a transparent and professional selection process across the South East.
