Students of Osun State origin at the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun, have received scholarships sponsored by the Osun Development Forum, Texas, USA, in recognition of outstanding academic performance across different programmes.

The presentation, held at the Vice Chancellor's Chamber, brought together representatives of the organisation, University management and the scholarship recipients, highlighting the growing role diaspora groups play in supporting higher education and rewarding merit among Nigerian undergraduates.

Delivering remarks on behalf of the Chairman of the organisation, Alhaji Kazeem Adetunji, the ODF representative, Dr Adebisi, reaffirmed the association's commitment to promoting educational advancement among young people from Osun State. He explained that the scholarship scheme was established to encourage academic diligence, recognise exceptional performance and reduce financial barriers that could hinder talented students from achieving their educational goals.

Adebisi described education as one of the most effective instruments for community development, adding that supporting brilliant students today would contribute to producing future professionals capable of making meaningful contributions to society.
