He urged committee members to justify the confidence placed in them by delivering a celebration that reflects the University's achievements since its establishment, describing the milestone as one that requires careful planning to showcase FUNAAB's institutional growth and impact on national development.

The Vice Chancellor paid tribute to the Committee Chairman, Prof. Adeniyi Olayanju, citing his distinguished career and his experience as immediate past Vice Chancellor of Landmark University as strong assurance that the committee would coordinate activities worthy of the University's reputation. Members were directed to begin work immediately, with early planning expected to allow adequate time for consultation and coordination.

Responding on behalf of the committee, Prof. Olayanju thanked management for the responsibility entrusted to members, noting that the anniversary offers an opportunity to reflect on the Institution's legacy and chart a course for future development. He pointed to FUNAAB's performance in global rankings and its expanding research profile as reasons the milestone deserves national and international recognition.

Olayanju highlighted the committee's diverse composition, drawn from academics, administrators and professionals across different university units, and assured management that members would carry out their assignment with diligence and professionalism. He disclosed that strategic planning had already begun, with physical and virtual meetings planned to meet a mandate covering key deliverables within the first three months.
