The management of the Federal University of Lafia has directed all final year students at the 400 and 500 levels to report to the Academic Affairs Division for data capturing and verification of their academic records, in compliance with the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank requirement for NYSC mobilisation.

The directive, issued by Registrar Dr Nuradeen Abdu on July 6, 2026, states that the exercise will run from Monday, July 13 to Friday, July 24, 2026, between 9:00am and 3:00pm daily.

Students are required to present three documents: a NIN slip, a JAMB Admission Letter bearing the institution copy, and a 400 or 500 level second semester course registration form.

The registrar's memo warns that failure to participate in the exercise will result in forfeiture of NYSC mobilisation and that all information submitted must match records on the university portal.

The exercise follows a faculty by faculty schedule. Students from Life Sciences will be captured on Monday, July 13, followed by Physical Sciences on Tuesday, July 14. Social Sciences students are scheduled across Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16, with a mop up session on Friday, July 17. Arts and Computing students will attend on Monday, July 20, Health Sciences and Basic Medical Sciences on Tuesday, July 21, Management Sciences and Education on Wednesday, July 22, and Agriculture and Environmental Design on Thursday, July 23. A final mop up session is fixed for Friday, July 24.

All heads of department have been directed to inform their final year students and ensure full compliance. The circular was distributed to all provosts, deans of faculty, directors of MIS and ICT, and the Students' Union for wide circulation.
