Looking for a place to stay right inside the Federal University of Lafia? The school hostels give you the real campus experience. You're close to your classes, close to the library, and close to everything happening on campus.

The FULAFIA hostel accommodation is designed to help students settle in easily, especially freshers who are just finding their feet.

Rooms are shared, basic facilities are provided, and you get to live right in the middle of school life. The only catch is that bed spaces are limited and go on a first come, first served basis.

Also, you must pay your school fees in full before you can be considered for a room. This guide walks you through everything: the costs, how to apply, and what to expect once you're inside.

FULAFIA Hostel Accommodation Fees 2025/2026

The hostel's bed spaces are limited, so it is best to apply early. The current hostel fee for the 2025/2026 academic session is ₦60,000 to ₦80,000, depending on the hostel type.

There are four major hostel types at FULAFIA: TETFUND Hostel, Hostel B, Rukkayah Hostel, and Abdurasheed Hostel.

How to Pay FULAFIA Hostel Fees

Before going ahead to apply, you must pay school fees and secure clearance from Student Affairs, as allocation began around January 19, 2026. Follow these steps below to apply:

  • Log on to the portal at https://my.fulafia.edu.ng/

  • Use your matriculation or registration number as a password.

  • Click on "Hostel Accommodation" and hover over the "accommodation" tab. If the rooms are still available, you'll see an option to "Request Room".

  • You will be asked to select your preferred hostel block, which could be A, B or C.

  • Once a room is provisionally allocated to you, the system will generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) specifically for the hostel fee payment.

Note: After paying at the bank or online, take your school fee receipt and your hostel fee receipt to the Student Affairs Division at the Permanent Site. Here, you will be assigned a specific room and bed space number.

How is Life inside FULAFIA Hostel?

When it comes to basic amenities, the university prioritises hostels for power supply, especially during exam periods, and there are dedicated boreholes to provide water. Still, it's wise to have your own bucket for storage just in case.

For safety, security teams like Man O' War and campus police patrol the hostel area around the clock.

Of course, living on campus also means following the rules. FULAFIA enforces strict guidelines: no cooking with electric coils, no squatting or harbouring unregistered students, and you must observe lights out and noise control policies. Breaking them can cost you your bed space, so it's important to know what's allowed.
