Getting a good JAMB score feels like a big win, but it doesn't always guarantee admission, especially if you're aiming for a medical university. The next thing you need to know is whether your score meets the cut off mark for your preferred course.
If you've chosen the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta (FUMMSA), understanding the admission cut off marks can help you know where you stand before the Post UTME screening begins. Some programmes are far more competitive than others, so knowing the requirements early gives you time to plan your next move.
You will find the official JAMB cut off mark, departmental requirements, how FUMMSA calculates its aggregate score, and other important admission details for the 2026/2027 academic session below.
FUMMSA Cut Off Mark 2026/2027 Session
The Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta has set 200 as the minimum JAMB score for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
This means you must score at least 200 in the 2026 UTME and choose FUMMSA as your first choice institution before you can participate in the university's Post UTME screening.
Scoring 200 only makes you eligible for the screening. Admission into many courses depends on higher departmental requirements and your overall aggregate score.

Your final score is made up of:
50% from your UTME score
50% from your O'Level grades
Step 1: Calculate Your UTME Points
Divide your UTME score by 8.
Example
JAMB Score: 280
280/8 = 35 points
Step 2: Calculate Your O'Level Points
Your five compulsory subjects are graded as follows:
Grade | Points |
|---|---|
A1 | 10 |
B2 | 9 |
B3 | 8 |
C4 | 7 |
C5 | 6 |
C6 | 5 |
The total points from English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics make up the remaining 50%.
Your aggregate score is the sum of both calculations.
