The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has published its list of accredited Computer-Based Test centres for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, leaving out numerous centres that were previously suspended.
Candidates have been advised to confirm that their preferred registration and examination venues appear on JAMB's official portal before proceeding with any transaction. Centres not featured on the list lack authorisation to conduct UTME registration or examinations.
JAMB has intensified its quality control measures for CBT centres over the past two years. Facilities that could not satisfy the Board's technical, operational, and ethical requirements faced either temporary suspension or outright removal from the approved list.
Whilst suspended centres can address their shortcomings and seek re-accreditation, those that have been completely removed must submit new applications and demonstrate full compliance before being considered for future examinations. Many centres delisted in 2024 and 2025 have failed to meet these conditions and remain excluded from the 2026 list.
During the 2025 UTME cycle, JAMB removed multiple CBT centres for various infractions, including substandard facilities, technical failures, and non-compliance with examination guidelines. Candidates initially assigned to these locations were redirected to other approved centres.
Three centres delisted in 2025 that have not been reinstated for 2026 are Adventure Associate in Kano State, Saadatu Rimi College of Education CBT Centre in Kano State, and Soronara Ventures Nigeria Limited in Imo State.
The 2024 examination period also saw JAMB blacklist approximately 25 centres following poor performance during the mock examination and registration phase. Issues ranged from equipment malfunctions to inadequate infrastructure and protocol violations. Most of these centres have not secured approval for the 2026 exercise.
The centres that are still unapproved for 2026 following the 2024 delisting include the Ola Unity Children's School CBT Centre and the Command Day Secondary School CBT Centre, both located in Lagos State. Additionally, the Beijing International School CBT Centre in Kaduna State, the Ateko Digital Technology CBT Centre, and the Lincoln College of Science, Management and Technology CBT Centre in Abuja are also on this list.
JAMB has urged all candidates to cross-check the approved centres list on its official platform to ensure they do not experience setbacks during the registration or examination process.
