The Postgraduate College of Lead City University, Ibadan, has announced the schedule for its 11th edition Oath Taking and Induction Ceremony, organised for Batch B postgraduate students of the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the university, the ceremony is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, July 08, 2026, at 9:30 AM prompt, at Adeline Hall on the Lead City University campus. The event marks a formal integration of the affected postgraduate students into their respective advanced professional and academic disciplines.
Management stated that a corporate dress code applies to all inductees, with students expected to dress formally in line with the institution's regulations. The university also urged affected postgraduate students to arrive early to complete necessary protocols before the ceremony commences.
The induction comes against the backdrop of a postgraduate college that runs programmes across faculties, including Medicine, Applied Sciences, Engineering, Law, Social and Management Sciences, Communication and Information Science, Environmental Design and Management, and Arts and Education. The institution offers various programmes suitable for both young adolescents and the adult working class, providing flexibility through a choice between part time and full time study modes. Postgraduate offerings span the Postgraduate Diploma, Master's, MPhil, and PhD levels, with the Master's degree programme requiring a minimum of Second Class Lower Division and running for 18 months across three semesters, while the PhD programme runs for six semesters.
Lead City University, a private institution situated along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway in the Toll Gate area of Ibadan, was ranked 57th among private universities in Nigeria as of 2023 and had graduated 3,379 students as of 2025. The university has continued to expand its academic offerings in recent years, having obtained National Universities Commission approval to run a PhD programme in Computer Science, among other additions to its postgraduate curriculum.
At its most recent undergraduate convocation, the University graduated a total of 2,162 students across various faculties during the grand finale of its 18th convocation ceremony, with 290 of the graduands earning First Class honours. The Institution has also used its convocation platforms to confer honorary doctorates on prominent Nigerians, reflecting its continued push to build visibility alongside its expanding postgraduate programmes.
Management has congratulated the inductees ahead of Wednesday's ceremony, describing the event as another milestone in the Postgraduate College's academic calendar.
