NUC has granted McPherson University, Ajebo, Ogun State, full accreditation for 10 undergraduate programmes, following a comprehensive assessment exercise conducted during the commission's October and November 2025 accreditation visits.
The institution's Director of Information and Public Relations, Tokunbo Olakunle, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, confirming that the approval was conveyed in a letter signed by the NUC Director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Commission's Executive Secretary.
"The accreditation followed a comprehensive assessment exercise carried out by different teams from the Commission during visits to the university in October and November 2025," Olakunle stated.
The accredited programmes are Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Public Health, History and Diplomatic Studies, Information Technology, Law, Biotechnology, and Economics. The accreditation is valid for a period of five years.
Vice Chancellor Professor Francis Igbasan, who announced the development to the university community, credited the outcome to the dedication and commitment of the institution's staff, describing it as a reflection of McPherson University's sustained pursuit of academic excellence.

The NUC accreditation exercise evaluates universities against established benchmarks covering teaching quality, research output, staffing, and physical infrastructure, among other criteria.
