A total of 309 students of the Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management have benefitted from a ₦18,269,100.00 student loan disbursement from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, covering the 2024/2025 academic session.

The confirmation was made in a formal statement addressed to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NELFUND by the institution's Desk Officer, Kauthar Kabir, who disclosed that the funds were received on Tuesday, 17th February 2026.

In the confirmation letter, Kabir stated, "On behalf of Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management, I write to formally confirm the receipt of loan disbursement from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for Three Hundred and Nine (309) students of Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management (KSITM) under 2024/2025 academic session. The total amount disbursed to the Institute on behalf of these students is Eighteen Million Two Hundred and Sixty nine thousand One hundred naira Only (₦18,269,100.00) only on Tuesday, 17th February 2026."

The institution expressed appreciation to NELFUND for the intervention, noting that the support would significantly improve access to education and boost quality technical and vocational education for students of the state owned institution.

KSITM also reaffirmed its commitment to sustained collaboration with the loan fund, stating, "Thank you for your continued partnership and support."

The disbursement to KSITM forms part of NELFUND's broader national effort to extend student loan support to institutions beyond conventional universities, covering polytechnics, colleges of technology, and other tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The inclusion of state owned technical institutions in the scheme reflects the fund's commitment to ensuring that students in vocational and technology focused programmes are not excluded from financial support.

With 309 students now covered under the 2024/2025 session, the disbursement is expected to ease the financial burden on students and their families while strengthening enrolment and retention at the institution.
