A total of 2,362 students of Lagos State University of Science and Technology have received student loan support from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, with ₦211,154,000 disbursed as part of the second batch of payments under the 2025/2026 academic session.

NELFUND announced the disbursement through its official X handle, confirming that the funds had been successfully released to the institution. The announcement described the intervention as part of the fund's broader commitment to expanding access to higher education across Nigeria.

"This intervention reinforces NELFUND's commitment to ensuring equitable access to higher education across Nigeria," the fund stated.

NELFUND added that it remains dedicated to empowering students and building a stronger, more inclusive education system across the country.

The disbursement to Lagos State University of Science and Technology forms part of a wider national effort by NELFUND to ensure that students in public tertiary institutions are not excluded from higher education due to financial constraints. The fund has, in recent months, been extending its reach to universities across multiple states, with each disbursement announcement reflecting growing participation in the student loan scheme.

As the 2025/2026 academic session progresses, the fund's continued rollout of payments to institutions signals its intention to maintain momentum and address outstanding obligations to students awaiting financial support.
