The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has officially confirmed the successful disbursement of institutional loans for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, targeting students at Osun State University (UNIOSUN) and Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU).
In an urgent update released via its official X account on Wednesday, the agency revealed that a combined total of ₦2,109,980,200 has been deployed to support 7,382 students across both institutions.
This massive financial injection was executed across multiple batches, with Osun State University receiving ₦2,038,534,000 to benefit 5,924 students across six distinct stages of disbursement.
Kashim Ibrahim University saw a total of ₦71,446,200 allocated to 1,458 students. This was broken down into a fifth batch disbursement of ₦47,638,900 for 955 students and a sixth batch release of ₦23,807,300 for another 503 beneficiaries.
NELFUND maintains that this milestone highlights its unwavering commitment to expanding access to higher education throughout Nigeria, ensuring financial constraints do not prevent any eligible student from pursuing their studies.
