The National Youth Service Corps has revealed through its official communication channels that it will conduct a supplementary online registration exercise specifically designed for prospective corps members whose details were recently uploaded to the NYSC portal. This disclosure was made in a post obtained from the NYSC’s X account on Monday, highlighting that the exercise is intended for candidates who have not yet completed the registration process.

According to the management of the scheme, this initiative is part of NYSC’s broader effort to streamline registration, maintain accurate records, and ensure a smooth intake process for all corps members. The primary goal is to ensure that all eligible candidates are able to participate in the upcoming NYSC orientation exercise without facing any delays.

Regarding the specific schedule for the activity, the corps stated, "Supplementary online registration for recently uploaded prospective corps members commences Thursday, 9th to Saturday, 11th April 2026."

The NYSC emphasised that candidates must adhere strictly to the registration timeline to avoid disqualification. It warned that failure to complete registration within the stipulated period could lead to disqualification, urging all affected individuals to take note of the deadline.

The management further noted that registration will be conducted through the official NYSC portal, and applicants are encouraged to follow the step by step instructions provided to complete the process successfully. Prospective corps members are advised to prepare all necessary documents and personal information in advance to ensure smooth registration.

The scheme clarified that the registration process is strictly online and adherence to deadlines is emphasised to prevent disqualification. In a statement shared on its official X account, the scheme reiterated that the three day window is targeted at candidates who have yet to complete their registration.

This supplementary exercise, according to the corps, is part of efforts to ensure all eligible candidates are captured for the upcoming orientation programme while maintaining accurate records. The NYSC advised affected applicants to prepare all necessary documents and personal information ahead of time to ensure a smooth process.
