The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has begun releasing call up numbers for prospective corps members (PCMs) in the 2026 Batch A Stream II, with the scheme confirming that the release is tied to registration order, meaning candidates who registered earlier are likely to see their numbers first on the portal dashboard.
The announcement was made through official NYSC communication channels, with management directing all eligible candidates to log in to the NYSC portal using their registered credentials to check and print their call up letters, commonly referred to as the green card. Prospective corps members who have not yet seen their call up numbers on the dashboard are advised to remain calm and continue checking, as the release is being processed in the order of registration.
The scheme emphasised that the call up number is a crucial requirement for mobilisation, as it confirms a prospective corps member's deployment details, including their state of service and orientation camp location. NYSC further stressed the importance of adhering to all instructions provided on the call up letter, including reporting dates, required documents and camp guidelines, ahead of the orientation exercise.
The 2026 Batch A Stream II orientation course is expected to commence soon across various NYSC orientation camps nationwide. The scheme reiterated its commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent mobilisation process, encouraging prospective corps members to prepare adequately for the service year ahead.
PCMs who have successfully located their call up numbers on the dashboard are advised to proceed immediately to print their green cards, as the document remains an essential requirement for gaining entry into the orientation camp and completing the mobilisation process.
