Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi, appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to represent the North Central geopolitical zone on the Tertiary Education Trust Fund Board of Trustees, has assumed office and committed to accelerating the delivery of TETFund's mandate across the region.

Ocholi committed during a familiarisation visit to the TETFund North Central Zonal Office at NAGIS House, Mararaba, Nasarawa State, where he met with management and staff before inspecting the ongoing construction of the Fund's permanent four storey zonal office complex.

The North Central Zonal Coordinator, Mrs. Leticia Kpenbeen, received the new board member and introduced him to staff, describing the zonal office as an arm of TETFund headquarters responsible for implementing the Fund's mandate within the region. She pledged the office's "unwavering cooperation, collaboration and institutional support" to enable him to discharge his responsibilities effectively.

Ocholi used the occasion to charge staff on conduct and commitment. "I urge you to remain determined, committed, diligent and dedicated in the discharge of your duties because dedication and hard work always speak for themselves," he told them.

He praised Kpenbeen's leadership during the interactive session, describing her as "a true inspiration whose leadership, dedication and vision have greatly motivated me to hit the ground running," and assured staff he would not disappoint the confidence placed in him.

A goodwill message delivered by Mr. Faruk Jibrin described Ocholi as "an accomplished executor" with a strong record of delivering on assigned tasks, pledging a productive working relationship with the zonal office.

Following the inspection of the construction site, Ocholi undertook to brief the full Board of Trustees on progress and advocate for the project's swift completion, citing the strategic value of the North Central office to TETFund operations.

Ocholi holds a PhD in Biological Sciences alongside postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration, Public Health, Plant Science and Peace and Conflict Resolution. His career spans scientific research, banking, public administration and policy development, including a stint at the National Space Research and Development Agency.

His appointment drew endorsements from the Kogi State Government, Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, and the National Youth Council of Nigeria, North Central Zone, all of whom expressed confidence in his capacity to deepen educational interventions across the region.
