Corps members serving at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria have begun an intensive five day certificate training programme covering leadership, digital skills, financial management, and entrepreneurship, as the institute moves to build professional capacity among young graduates in the public sector.

PSIN Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Imeh Okon said the initiative reflected the institute's commitment to youth empowerment and human capital development, stressing that its value extended beyond the service year.

Okon explained that the programme was designed to prepare corps members for long term professional relevance, covering areas such as public service administration, communication, career development, and digital skills, alongside leadership and entrepreneurship components.

She urged participants to take full advantage of the opportunity.

"Leadership and excellence are built on continuous self development and adequate preparation," Okon stated, urging corps members to approach the training with seriousness, discipline, and commitment.

The PSIN chief executive reaffirmed the Institute's broader mandate to strengthen public sector capacity through impactful training programmes, institutional development, and strategic partnerships to advance public service reforms across Nigeria.
