Kenule Beeson Saro Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori, has announced that its combined 25th to 32nd Convocation Ceremony will be held on Saturday, 22nd August, 2026, at the Convocation Arena, with the accompanying Convocation Lecture scheduled for Thursday, 20th August, 2026.
The Acting Rector, Dr George Chile Wadike, disclosed the arrangement on behalf of the Governing Council, Academic Board, Staff and Students of the Polytechnic, extending an invitation to members of the public to join the institution in marking the occasion.
According to the announcement, the Convocation Ceremony is set to commence at 10:00 AM at the Convocation Arena, bringing together eight sets of graduating students whose academic achievements span the 25th to the 32nd convocation cycles of the Polytechnic.
Dr Wadike noted that the ceremony represents a significant milestone for the institution, as it prepares to honour students who have completed their academic programmes across the affected sets. The Acting Rector stated that the event would reflect the collective effort of the Governing Council, Academic Board, and Staff in supporting students through to graduation.
The Polytechnic revealed that the Convocation Lecture, held two days ahead of the main ceremony, forms part of the broader convocation activities lined up to celebrate the graduating students.
Institution officials extended congratulations to all graduating students of Kenule Beeson Saro Wiwa Polytechnic ahead of the ceremony, describing the achievement as momentous for the affected sets.
The Polytechnic has yet to release further details regarding registration procedures, gowning arrangements, or guest attendance guidelines for the Convocation Ceremony, though members of the public have been cordially invited to attend the event at the Convocation Arena on the appointed date.
Founded to serve the Ogoni region and beyond, Kenule Beeson Saro Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori, continues to expand its academic offerings, with the upcoming convocation marking another chapter in the Institution's growth as it prepares to send another cohort of graduates into the workforce.
