Is UNIBEN Admission List 2025/2026 Out?

UNIBEN admission list was released in September 2025, with applicants being offered admission in three batches. Students who took part in the Post UTME screening exercise for 2025/2026 are advised to keep checking the official portal for their names.

UNIBEN Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission into UNIBEN, you have to:

  • Score 170 and above in your UTME

  • Choose the University of Benin as your first choice

  • Have 5 credits passes in your WAEC, including Mathematics and English.

  • Pass the Screening Exercise.

How to Check UNIBEN Admission List 2025/2026 Session

There are two methods to use when checking your name on the admission list. You can check via the JAMB Portal and the UNIBEN Portal.

Checking Via the JAMB Portal:

To check through the JAMB Portal, follow these steps:

  • Visit https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/

  • Log in to your JAMB profile with your username and password.

  • Go to the "Check Admission Status" and click on it.

  • Click on "Admission Status" or "Access my CAPS"

Note: You will either see Admission in progress or check back later.

Checking Via the UNIBEN Portal:

To check through the UNIBEN Portal, follow these steps:

Log in to the admission portal at https://waeup.uniben.edu/applicants/checkstatus

Input your Application or Registration Number in the required column.

Click on "Submit", confirm your application number before clicking on "Proceed" to check your admission status.

How to Pay UNIBEN Acceptance Fee

If your name is on the admission list 2025/2026 academic session, the next thing that is expected of you is to pay your acceptance fee. Below are the steps to make a payment:

  1. Using your ID and password, log in to your profile.

  2. Click “My Data.”

  3. Select the payment option you prefer.

  4. Click on “Add online Payment ticket.”

  5. Toggle to the “Create ticket” button.

  6. Click on “Pay via Remita” to see the payment details.

  7. Click the “Submit” button to continue with the payment through the Interswitch payment gateway.

  8. Click on the “Pay” button.

Note: If your payment is successful, an acceptance slip will appear on your screen.
