The online examination will hold from Monday, 27 July to Friday, 31 July 2026, and candidates are expected to meet all the technical and examination requirements before their scheduled test date.

Unlike a regular CBT examination held in a physical centre, the UNILAG Post UTME test will be conducted online under remote proctoring. This means that your laptop camera, microphone, examination environment and activities may be monitored throughout the test.

Candidates should prepare their laptops, internet connection, electricity supply and examination space ahead of time. The mandatory mock examination is also available to help you confirm that your device and examination environment are ready for the actual test.

UNILAG Post UTME Examination Requirements

Candidates must use a suitable laptop computer equipped with an in built webcam and microphone.

The Post UTME Aptitude Test is a competitive online examination conducted under remote monitoring conditions.

  • Remain seated and within the camera view during the test.

The examination activities, including audio and video recordings, may be monitored and recorded for examination integrity, identity verification and investigation purposes.

UNILAG Post UTME Examination Duration

The examination will last 30 minutes. The time begins immediately after the candidate clicks the Start Examination button. The countdown will continue even if the candidate experiences an interruption or logs out of the examination platform.

Once the 30 minutes expire the examination will be automatically submitted. Candidates should ensure that their internet connection and electricity supply are stable before starting the test.

Steps to Start the UNILAG Post UTME Test

After successfully logging into the examination platform, follow these steps:

Click Take Exam to open the examination instructions page.

The page will provide instructions for downloading and installing the required Safe Examination Browser.

Step 2: Download the Required Safe Examination Browser

Download and install the version of the Safe Examination Browser specified on the instructions page.

Candidates who have already installed the required version do not need to install it again.

Step 3: Grant the Required Permissions

Allow all permissions requested by the Safe Examination Browser.

Failure to grant the required permissions may prevent you from accessing the examination.

Step 4: Launch the Examination

After the installation is complete, return to the examination page and click Click here to take your exam.

The examination should then launch through the Safe Examination Browser.

UNILAG Post UTME Mock Examination

Participation in the UNILAG Post UTME mock examination is mandatory for all candidates.

The mock test is designed to check whether your:

  • Safe Examination Browser is working properly.

  • Webcam is functioning.

  • Microphone is working.

  • Internet connection is suitable.

  • Examination environment is ready.

The mock examination will remain available until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, 25 July 2026.

There is no additional fee for participating in the mock examination.

Important Mock Examination Advice

Candidates should take the mock examination using the same laptop, internet connection and examination environment they intend to use for the actual Post UTME test.

Taking the mock examination does not guarantee access to the actual test if you later change your laptop, internet connection, software settings or examination environment.

Electricity and Internet Requirements

Candidates are solely responsible for ensuring that they have a reliable electricity supply throughout the examination.

UNILAG will not be responsible for problems caused by:

  • Power failure.

  • Internet service provider interruptions.

  • Network failure.

  • Other technical problems outside the University’s reasonable control.

Candidates should therefore prepare an alternative power arrangement where possible and test their internet connection before the examination date.

Important Warning About Unauthorised CBT Centres

UNILAG has stated that it has not approved, appointed, licensed or authorised any individual, organisation, cybercafé, business centre or CBT centre to conduct or administer the 2026/2027 Post UTME Aptitude Test on its behalf.

The examination will be conducted strictly online.
