Modibbo Adama University has introduced a temporary adjustment to its official work schedule in observance of the 2026 Ramadan fasting period, with closing time now set at 3:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday.

The directive was issued in an internal circular signed by the university Registrar, Mustafa U. Migawa, and dated 18 February 2026.

Under the new arrangement, all staff members are required to resume work at 8:00 a.m. as usual throughout the fasting period. However, closing time from Monday to Thursday has been moved to 3:00 p.m., while Fridays will see staff close at 1:30 p.m.

The university management explained that the revised schedule was designed to accommodate staff members observing the Ramadan fast and to ease the physical and spiritual demands associated with the holy month. Staff have been directed to comply fully with the temporary arrangement for the entire duration of Ramadan.

In addition to the schedule adjustment, management extended its goodwill message to all staff members, wishing them a peaceful, spiritually fulfilling, and rewarding fasting period. The temporary work hours are expected to remain in effect until the conclusion of Ramadan.
