Abia State University (ABSU) formally presents the 2025/2026 Admission List, marking a significant milestone for our prospective students.

The University Management, under the leadership of the Registrar, has officially released the first batch of successful candidates offered provisional admission into our various undergraduate programmes.

ABSU Admission List for the 2025/2026 Academic Session

Abia State University (ABSU) has started offering provisional admission to candidates who applied for its Post UTME screening exercise. This is, however, seen as the first batch admission, so it doesn't just end at this. The supplementary list will also be released after the primary admission list.

Candidates whose names are on the admission list are strongly advised by the management to accept their admission on the JAMB CAPS, print their JAMB admission letter, and also print the admission letter from the ABSU Portal.

How to Check ABSU Admission List on JAMB Portal

  • Visit efacility.jamb.gov.ng

  • Log in with your JAMB email and password

  • To access your CAPS, click on the "Check Admission Status" button.

  • Choose the examination year as 2025, and click on access my CAPS

  • Click on "Admission Status" to see if you have been admitted or not.

  • If congratulations pops on on your screen, then you have been offered provision Admission to ABSU.

How to Check if you have been offered Admission on the ABSU Portal

  • Visit portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng

  • Enter your Application Form Number

  • Click on check admission status to see your admission details

  • If offered Admission, print your ABSU Admission letter.

What to do after being offered Admission to ABSU

First and foremost, congratulations to all those who made the primary Admission list. Here is a list of important things to do once you are offered admission.

Accept your Admission:

Newly admitted students are always advised to accept their admission once it pops up on the JAMB CAPS. This is a clear sign that you are satisfied with the course offered to you.

Print your JAMB Admission Letter:

Without this letter, your admission is not complete. The JAMB Admission letter usually comes in two copies, one for the institution's use and the other for the candidate's use. Print both copies as they will be presented during your documentation in ABSU.

Pay the Acceptance fee:

ABSU acceptance fee is a non refundable fee of 45,000 naira that will be paid by all newly admitted students. This payment is made through the University portal, by generating an RRR number and paying either online (ATM card) or by visiting any commercial bank.

How to Pay ABSU Acceptance Fee

  • Visit Portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng

  • Log in with your JAMB Registration number and password

  • Click on the acceptance fee option

  • It will ask to generate a payment invoice

  • Take the generated invoice with the RRR number that appeared to any of the listed commercial banks:

    ABSU Micro Finance Bank, Uturu, Signature Bank, First Bank Plc, Eco Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, Fidelity Bank Plc, Union Bank Plc, UBA Plc.

  • After payment, return to the ABSU Portal.

  • Click on generate acceptance receipt.

  • Enter your acceptance Invoice number and your confirmation number from the invoice issued by the bank.

  • Click search, and then print your acceptance fee receipt.
