Admiralty University has raised the alarm over a fraudulent message in circulation that contains unauthorised payment instructions for ICT fees, urging students, staff, and the wider public to treat the communication as entirely invalid.

The university management, in a statement addressed to the campus community, confirmed that the message did not originate from the institution and bore no official standing whatsoever. It emphasised that genuine communications concerning payments of any kind, including ICT fees, are issued solely through the institution's official website and recognised email platforms, and that no legitimate payment directive would be conveyed through any other channel.

Management called on all members of the university community to disregard the message entirely and warned strongly against acting on any of the instructions or information it contained. The university further advised stakeholders to remain alert to the possibility of similar fraudulent communications in the future, stressing that verifying the source of any payment related message before taking action was essential.

Those who require clarification or have concerns regarding payment related matters were directed to contact the Public Relations Unit directly on 08110217124, 08163416260, or 09169525477.
