After months of waiting and patience, AEFUNAI has officially released its admission list for the 2025/2026 Academic session.

The University has introduced a new system that works just like JAMB. By linking their database, the school ensures that student records are always accurate, transparent, and relatively similar to what JAMB has.

How to Check Your Admission Status on AEFUNAI Portal

  • Log in to www.admission.funai.edu.ng

  • Insert your username and password

  • Click on check admission status

  • Enter JAMB registration number

  • If offered admission, download the registration procedure

  • Follow the instructions and pay the acceptance fee.

How to check your Admission Status on the JAMB Portal

  • Visit efacility.jamb.gov.ng

  • Log in by entering the email address and password you used for your JAMB registration.

  • Once on your dashboard, scroll down to "check admission status." Click on it.

  • Select your examination year, "2025."

  • Enter your JAMB registration number in the space provided.

  • Click on "Access my CAPS."

  • On the left hand sidebar (if using a PC) or via the menu (if on mobile), click on "Admission status."

  • If a congratulatory message pops up, that means you have been offered admission.

Next phase after being Offered Admission to AEFUNAI

Accept Your Admission:

All newly admitted students of AEFUNAI are directed to first accept their admission from their JAMB CAPS. This is carried out by clicking on the accept icon that appears under the congratulatory message.

Print your Admission Letter:

Immediately after accepting your admission, you will be directed to print your admission letter from the JAMB portal. This letter comes in two copies, and it is proof that you have been offered provisional admission by JAMB.

Acceptance Fee Payment:

As a newly admitted student of AEFUNAI, you must pay a non refundable acceptance fee of 41,000 Naira through the school portal. Failure to make this payment will result in your admission being revoked.

How to Pay AEFUNAI Acceptance Fee

  • Visit portal.funai.edu.ng

  • Log in with your username and password

  • Navigate to the "acceptance" menu and click "generate acceptance invoice".

  • Select the 2025/2026 session and your level (100 Level).

  • Print the invoice. It will contain a 12 digit code called the remita retrieval reference (RRR).

  • Make payment either by visiting any commercial bank with the RRR number generated from the university site, or by paying using an ATM card.

  • Return to AEFUNAI portal to verify your payment

  • Print your acceptance letter and acceptance fee receipt

A. Without completing the school fees payment, new students will not be allowed to complete their registration.

Q. Why doesn't AEFUNAI release the admitted names in a list pattern?
A. They prefer working with JAMB Style to keep the admission authentic, basically to avoid having students without JAMB admission letters.

Q. Are the extra charges for every student, or just for newly admitted students?
A. The extra charges are for both newly admitted and returning students. It will be paid for every section until you graduate from the university.

Q. Is there a deadline for acceptance fee payment?
A. Newly admitted students have two weeks after being offered admission to make the payment of the acceptance fee.

Q. Can the acceptance be refunded after payment?
A. The acceptance fee of AEFUNAI is unrefundable.

Q. How long do I have to accept the admission on CAPS?
A. You must accept the offer within 4 weeks. Failure to do so may lead to the forfeiture of the admission.

Q. When is the deadline for paying the acceptance fee?
A. Typically, two weeks after your name appears on the school portal.

Q. Why is my name not on the list despite scoring above the cut off?
A. Check if you uploaded your O'level results to JAMB. If you didn't, the university cannot offer you admission on CAPS.
