Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, has extended the deadline for its 2026/2027 Post UTME application, moving the closing date from Tuesday, 30th June 2026, to Tuesday, 21st July 2026 at midnight.

Management disclosed that the extension is intended to accommodate more candidates, including those who recently completed a Change of Institution to make DOU their first choice on the JAMB portal. According to the notice, no further extension may be granted once the new deadline elapses.

The University, a Delta State Government owned Institution, had earlier opened its Post UTME and Direct Entry admission exercise to candidates who selected DOU as their first choice institution and scored at least 150 in the 2026 UTME. Applicants who did not originally choose DOU but wish to gain admission were advised to process a Change of Institution through JAMB before applying.

Interested candidates are required to complete their registration online, upload the necessary documents, and ensure their personal details align accurately with their JAMB records ahead of the new deadline. The University stressed that candidates whose information does not match JAMB records risk complications during the screening process.

Beyond the JAMB requirement, applicants must also possess a minimum of five credit passes in relevant O Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. Direct Entry candidates applying for 200 Level admission are required to hold an acceptable A Level qualification, such as NCE or ND, with the appropriate grade.

The screening exercise, which attracts a non refundable fee, is processed through the University's official Post UTME portal, where candidates log in using their JAMB details to complete registration. DOU offers programmes across faculties, including Agriculture, Allied Health Science, Arts, Behavioural and Social Science, Computing, Environmental Science, Management Sciences, and Science.

Candidates have been encouraged to take advantage of the extended window, with Management reiterating that this adjustment is designed to give a wider pool of applicants, particularly recent first choice changers, sufficient time to meet all requirements before registration closes.
