Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi has received educational and infrastructural materials from the Bala Wunti Support Organisation, a youth focused entity dedicated to advancing education, leadership, and promoting inclusivity, mentorship, and sustainability in governance.

The donated items include eight pieces of 350W solar panels, four solar generators, four Starlink generators, three devices, and four access point devices.

Alhaji Ladan Salihu Kangere, Chief Operations Officer of BWSO, presented the items on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer to Professor Ibrahim Garba, Vice Chancellor of ATBU, explaining that the materials are intended to expand the university's internet connectivity and improve network access in designated areas, including lecture halls, libraries, research facilities, and student hostels.

Kangere described the organisation as a platform for positive change, supporting initiatives that enhance access to quality education, technology, and sustainable development opportunities for students, youths, and institutions.

"We are pleased to introduce ourselves formally to the esteemed leadership of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, an institution renowned for its commitment to academic excellence, research, and innovation in Nigeria. The BWSO greatly admires ATBU's contributions to higher education and its role in nurturing future leaders and professionals," Kangere stated.

He explained that the donation aligns with BWSO's objective of promoting digital inclusion and sustainable energy solutions in educational settings, noting that the organisation remains committed to collaborative partnerships that benefit the academic community.

"In furtherance of our mission to support educational advancement and bridge infrastructural gaps in learning environments, the Bala Wunti Support Organisation donated the materials to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University. The donation aligns with our objective of promoting digital inclusion and sustainable energy solutions in educational settings," he noted.

Kangere expressed hope for further engagement with ATBU in areas of mutual interest.

Professor Ibrahim Hassan Garba, while receiving the items, commended the organisation and the individual after whom it was established, describing the donation as timely, given the university's need to expand internet facilities across its two campuses.

The Vice Chancellor stated that Bala Maijama'a Wunti will always be remembered by the university community for his gesture in supporting the institution, assuring that he will ensure judicious use of the facilities in line with the objectives of the donation.

The materials are expected to address connectivity challenges faced by students and staff at ATBU, particularly in areas where internet access has been limited or unreliable, potentially improving research capabilities and learning outcomes across the institution.
