For many Nigerian families, securing a JAMB electronic PIN has long been one of the most stressful stages of the university admission process, marked by failed transactions, network failures, and system timeouts that have left countless candidates unable to register on time.

Interswitch is now positioning itself to change that experience for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) cycle, deploying its Quickteller platform, accessible via web and mobile application, alongside the Interswitch Payment Gateway, to manage the high volume of ePIN purchases expected during the registration window.

Both payment channels are integrated directly into the official JAMB efacility portal. Candidates are required to first generate a profile code through JAMB, after which they may proceed to purchase their ePIN through either platform, with the PIN delivered instantly upon successful payment, removing the need to visit physical registration centres.

Olawale Akanbi, Interswitch's Divisional Head of Growth Marketing, acknowledged the pressure that the registration season places on families across the country. "We understand how critical this process is for families," he said. "By providing trusted channels, we are helping candidates complete their registration with confidence."

The company stated that its payment infrastructure was built to absorb the scale of demand that typically accompanies the JAMB registration period, with high volume capacity intended to prevent the last minute congestion that has disrupted previous registration cycles.
