Students at Adeleke University in Ede, Osun State, now have access to a new ICT facility after New Horizons Systems Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of the US based global ICT training organisation New Horizons Worldwide, donated and commissioned the building on the University's campus.

The facility, named the Elder (Dr) I.C. Egbuta ICT Centre, contains four fully equipped ICT studios fitted with high end computer systems and full air conditioning, with a combined seating capacity for over 750 users. Beyond its physical scale, the centre is expected to give students direct access to professional certification training and practical digital skills that are increasingly demanded by employers but remain out of reach for many Nigerian undergraduates whose institutions lack adequate technology infrastructure.

The commissioning ceremony drew dignitaries from across the country. The building was formally commissioned by Modupe Adeleke Sanni, who represented the Chairman of the University Council, Chief Adedeji Adeleke. In her remarks, she expressed appreciation for the organisation's continued investment in the University and indicated that the council intends to sustain the partnership.

Vice Chancellor Professor Solomon Adebola acknowledged the significance of the donation for students, pointing to the growing importance of technology competence in securing meaningful employment after graduation. He praised New Horizons Nigeria for consistently directing resources towards equipping the institution rather than limiting its involvement to short term engagements.

Managing Director and Chief Executive of New Horizons Nigeria, Tim Akano, said the organisation's focus is on ensuring that Nigerian University students are not left behind in a rapidly shifting global technology landscape. He noted that access to certified digital training within a University setting removes a significant barrier for students who cannot afford external programmes.

For students at Adeleke University, the centre represents a practical upgrade to their academic experience, offering tools and training environments that bring professional certification within reach before they leave campus.
