Jigawa State Polytechnic has directed all colleges and departments to release timetables immediately and commence second, fourth, and sixth semester lectures on Monday, June 29, 2026, following the successful conclusion of first, third, and fifth semester examinations.
The management noted that while the approved academic calendar had originally set June 22, 2026, as the resumption date, public holidays affected the schedule, necessitating the adjustment to June 29. Students and staff are expected to plan accordingly and ensure full readiness before the new commencement date.
In a notice to the institution's community, the management congratulated all students on the conduct of the examinations, describing the exercise as hitch free. It expressed optimism about the incoming semester and encouraged students to return with renewed focus and commitment to their academic programmes.
All colleges and departments have been directed to ensure timetables are released without delay, giving students and lecturers adequate time to prepare for the resumption of academic activities. The management urged everyone to adhere strictly to the new schedule to avoid any disruption to the semester's academic calendar.
