Nigerian students seeking fully funded undergraduate and postgraduate opportunities abroad have until 16 November 2026 to apply for the MasterCard Foundation Scholarship at Ashesi University in Ghana.

The scholarship, offered by the MasterCard Foundation in partnership with Ashesi University, provides full financial coverage for African students demonstrating academic excellence, financial need, and leadership potential. It is open to citizens of all African countries, making Nigerian applicants eligible to apply.

The award covers all tuition fees, room and board, and learning resources for the duration of the programme. Beyond direct financial support, scholars gain access to an accelerated Masters programme run in partnership with Arizona State University in the United States, along with lifelong membership of Ashesi and MasterCard Foundation alumni networks spanning more than 40 countries.

Recipients also benefit from comprehensive academic, personal, and leadership development support, as well as networking opportunities within a Pan African community of professionals and peers across multiple sectors.

To qualify, applicants must be citizens of an African country, hold an excellent academic record, demonstrate financial need, and show a clear commitment to leadership and community service.

The scholarship is available across undergraduate, Masters, and Doctoral levels, offering Nigerian students a pathway to world class education within the African continent at no personal cost.
