Cosmopolitan University, Abuja, has obtained full accreditation from the National Universities Commission for 11 of its academic programmes, following a comprehensive assessment of the institution's faculty resources, curriculum relevance and infrastructure.

The accredited programmes are Nursing Science, Public Health, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Criminology and Security Studies, and International Relations and Diplomacy.

The institution's Registrar, Dr Mani Ibrahim, described the development as a major milestone in a statement released by the university. "Achieving this recognition from the primary regulatory body is a significant step forward in the university's growth and its mission to build a world class academic environment," the statement reads.

The university noted that the accreditation validated its systems, processes and learning environment as aligned with national standards required to produce competent, industry ready graduates, adding that the approval reinforced its position as a centre for intellectual growth and professional development.

Cosmopolitan University further affirmed that it would continue to invest in learning resources, innovative research and facilities designed to promote academic excellence and personal development among students.

The institution also acknowledged the support of students and parents, assuring all stakeholders of its commitment to transparency, diligence and excellence in service delivery. "As we look towards the future, Cosmopolitan University remains deeply committed to academic integrity, institutional growth, and the relentless pursuit of knowledge," Ibrahim stated.

The NUC accreditation process evaluated the university against regulatory benchmarks considered essential for quality higher education delivery in Nigeria, and the institution said the outcome confirmed its readiness to meet those standards consistently.
