Nile University of Nigeria has begun accepting applications for its undergraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year. Whether you are a JAMB candidate, a direct entry applicant, or a transfer student, here is what you need to know.

Eligibility Criteria for NUN Post UTME

The following are the eligibility requirements for Nigerian, transfer and direct entry students and foreign applicants.

Nigerian Applicants

Nigerian students seeking admission to the university must take the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination, or UTME, and achieve the approved cut off mark for that year.

Also, candidates must present 5 credits in no more than two sittings. Please consult your respective faculties for complete requirements, other relevant information, and specifications.

Foreign Applicants

Unlike Nigerian applicants, all foreign applicants must provide their examination results and an academic transcript from their previous high schools.

Transfer and Direct Entry Students

Direct Entry candidates must have completed one of the following: OND, NCE, HND, A-level GCE, SBS, JUPEB, IJMB, or any other higher qualification.

Transfer candidates from national universities are generally given preference, unless they are on academic probation.

In such cases, the candidate may be admitted at a lower level. For this method of admission, a grade point average of 1.50 CGPA (3rd class) on a 5.0 scale allows the candidate to transfer and begin at the appropriate level.
