Activities preceding the formal disengagement of corps members will commence on March 13, 2026. The schedule includes a Job Advisory and Counselling programme organised by the National Youth Service Corps in partnership with relevant agencies. A statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, outlined that the signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors is also a key component of the winding up process.

“The activities heralding the event will commence on 13th March, 2026, and will include Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC) by the NYSC and other relevant agencies, as well as the signing of final clearance by the Zonal Inspectors,” the statement disclosed.

Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, charged the outgoing personnel to uphold the integrity of the scheme. He wished them a seamless exercise as they conclude their national service. “He also urges them to allow the core values of the Scheme to guide them in their post service relationships as good ambassadors of NYSC,” the statement added.

The management has designated the event as a low key ceremony where Certificates of National Service will be distributed to eligible participants in their respective Local Government Areas. Consequently, the scheme has fixed the official passing out date for Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
