The National Youth Service Corps has announced that its online portal will officially open for prospective corps members on March 12, 2026. This development marks the start of the registration exercise for the upcoming mobilisation batch.
Ahead of the scheduled dates, the scheme has issued crucial guidelines regarding data consistency. Prospective corps members have been strongly advised to verify that the name on their National Identity Management Commission record matches the one on the Senate list and the NYSC portal. Management emphasized the importance of ensuring that names exactly match those on certificates or statements of result to avoid complications during the process.
Eligibility for the mobilisation is restricted to a specific category of graduates. The agency clarified that only those whose names appear on the approved Senate or Academic Board lists uploaded by their respective institutions may register. Graduates were further directed to confirm their details through the Senate list verification portal before commencing the online registration.
The disclosure was made via a flyer released across social media platforms on Friday. The notice provided the specific timeline for the activity. “Attention, Prospective Corps Members (PCMs), I am happy to inform you that the NYSC portal will be opened for online registration from 12th to 18th March, 2026,” the flyer read.
It further detailed the qualification criteria. It added that those eligible to register are “PCMs who have Senate/Academic Board approved results and whose details have been uploaded on the NYSC portal by their respective institutions.”
To facilitate a seamless experience, the scheme advised prospective participants to visit its official website for comprehensive guidelines. This exercise comes amidst recent reforms in the education sector aimed at strengthening the integrity of academic records.
