The National Youth Service Corps has fixed Thursday, 21st May, 2026, as the passing out date for corps members serving under the 2025 Batch A Stream Two, with preparatory activities set to commence on Tuesday, 5th May, 2026, across the federation.
Preparations for the event are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, 5th May, 2026, with a series of activities designed to ease the transition of corps members out of the scheme and into their post service lives.
Among the activities lined up is the Job Advisory and Counselling session, known as JAC, which will be conducted by the NYSC in collaboration with other relevant agencies. The signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors is also part of the pre passing out process.
The Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated the outgoing corps members and urged them to carry the values of the scheme into their lives beyond service.
"He also urges them to allow the core values of the Scheme to guide them in their post service relationships as good ambassadors of NYSC," the statement from the scheme noted.
In line with the low key nature of the event, the distribution of Certificates of National Service will take place across all Local Government Areas in the country, ensuring that deserving corps members receive their certificates within their respective places of primary assignment.
The passing out ceremony marks the formal conclusion of the mandatory one year national service for the batch, which saw corps members deployed to states across the federation for assignments spanning education, health, agriculture, and community development, among other sectors.
The NYSC management wished the outgoing corps members success as they transition into the next phase of their professional and personal lives, encouraging them to remain worthy representatives of the scheme's ideals of patriotism, discipline, and national unity wherever they find themselves after service.
