Southern Delta University has rescheduled its upcoming Convocation Ceremony by one day, moving the event from Friday, 27 February 2026, to Saturday, 28 February 2026, to ensure the full participation of the University Visitor, His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori.

The ceremony, which will also include the Awards of Prizes and Commissioning of Projects, was originally set for 27 February but has been adjusted following a decision by the university management to ensure better coordination ahead of the occasion. The institution noted that the change was made specifically to accommodate the schedule of the University Visitor and to enhance overall participation at what is one of the most significant events in the academic calendar.

All other arrangements, assignments, and details relating to the ceremony remain unchanged. A revised programme reflecting the new date has been made available to members of the university community.

The university acknowledged that the rescheduling may cause some inconvenience and expressed appreciation for the understanding and cooperation of staff, students, and all other stakeholders as preparations for the ceremony continue.
