UI Hostel Application 2025/2026
Following concerns raised by students, the University of Ibadan Students’ Union held a stakeholders’ meeting with the Dean of Students and other officials on 9 February 2026.
After the meeting, the following clarifications were announced:
Uploading a JAJA card image is no longer required
JAJA registration number is still compulsory
Students without a physical JAJA ID can proceed
The Hall Accommodation Form is no longer a separate requirement
University Health Services Requisite Form applies only to returning students, not freshers
UI Hostel Fees 2024/2025
The University of Ibadan has not yet released new hostel fees for the 2025/2026 session.
The figures below are based on the approved 2024/2025 accommodation charges. This is to help you plan your budget well.

UI Hostel Application Schedule for 2025/2026 Session
Below is the schedule for the hostel application process;
JAJA details submission: 9 to 11 February 2026
New students' application and payment: 12 to 19 February 2026
Returning students' application and payment: 13 to 20 February 2026
Room allocation for freshers and final year students: 21 February 2026
Room allocation for other returning students: 26 February 2026

How to Apply for UI Hostel Accommodation 2025/2026
Returning students must complete the University Health Services Requisite Form before applying.
Go to the official https://student-portal.ui.edu.ng/ and log in with your details.
Provide your JAJA registration number as required.
Select your preferred hall and submit your application.
Successful applicants will receive an email notification.
After approval, return to the portal to make payment.
Room details will be available on the portal on allocation dates.
Hostel Rules
Before applying, students should note the following hostel rules:
Hostel allocation is not automatic
Bed space is subject to availability
Students from metropolitan LGAs may be restricted
Hostel fees are non-refundable after allocation
Room swapping without approval is not allowed
Misconduct can lead to the withdrawal of accommodation
Failure to follow hostel rules may affect future allocation.
