Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, has expressed readiness to receive returning and newly admitted students for the 2026/2027 academic session, following the completion of major infrastructure upgrades across campus.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Oladipo, gave the assurance after leading management on an inspection of academic buildings renovated under the 2025 Tertiary Education Trust Fund Project Maintenance Intervention. The University stated that the inspection formed part of a quality assurance exercise to verify that the completed projects met specifications before full use in the new academic year.

Walking through the facilities, Oladipo examined the standard of workmanship, assessed completion levels and interacted with officials overseeing the projects. He explained that the exercise reflected management's determination to ensure infrastructure investments directly improve teaching, learning and research activities, noting that modern Institutions require learning spaces capable of supporting contemporary teaching methods and collaborative research.

According to him, the upgraded buildings represent another step in the University's broader development agenda to position TASFUED as a leading Institution for teacher education through continuous improvement in infrastructure, academic delivery and research capacity. Management believes the renovations will provide more comfortable lecture spaces, a better working environment for staff, and contribute positively to students' overall learning experience.

The Vice Chancellor assured students that academic preparations had been carefully coordinated, with lecturers, administrative units and support services fully prepared to begin a session focused on academic excellence, innovation, leadership development and student success. He encouraged prospective candidates to consider TASFUED, describing it as an Institution committed to producing graduates equipped with the knowledge and ethical values required to succeed globally.

Oladipo reaffirmed that maintenance would remain a permanent feature of the University's development strategy, stressing that preserving existing facilities matters as much as constructing new ones. He expressed appreciation to the Federal Government and TETFund for their continued investment in higher education infrastructure, describing the intervention as instrumental to the University's growth and noting that sustained capital funding enables Institutions to modernise campuses and support effective teaching and research.

Addressing parents and guardians, he assured them that TASFUED remains committed to providing a secure, student friendly and academically stimulating environment for learners throughout their university education.
