WorldQuant University and Renewed Hope Global have teamed up to expand free technical education for Nigerian youth. This builds on WorldQuant’s current base of over 5,000 learners in Nigeria. The partnership connects the tuition free online university with a platform supported by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Administration, aligning technical skills training with the government’s economic development goals.
WorldQuant University shared the news of its partnership on LinkedIn, highlighting its strong commitment to Nigeria, where it already has over 5,000 learners. The university said it is excited to partner with Renewed Hope Global to expand access to free, high quality online academic programs for Nigerian youth.
John Endrud, who leads WorldQuant University as CEO, separately shared his enthusiasm for the initiative through his LinkedIn account.
"Excited for our collaboration with Renewed Hope Global to expand access to high quality, online technical programs in Nigeria," Endrud wrote.
WorldQuant University provides tuition free education in quantitative and technical disciplines through its online platform, maintaining accreditation from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission and serving learners in more than 150 countries worldwide.
Renewed Hope Global operates as a virtual engagement platform sponsored by The Presidency under the Renewed Hope Administration, dedicated to promoting President Tinubu's reform policies. The platform hosts two hour moderated conference sessions on weekends, creating structured opportunities for dialogue with senior government officials on policy matters.
Joseph K. Adebola serves as Chief Host and Chief Executive Officer of the Renewed Hope Global Virtual Town Hall Conference, overseeing the platform's engagement activities.
The collaboration places online technical education within Nigeria's national strategy, emphasising digital capacity and skills development as foundations for economic growth. Traditional tertiary institutions in Nigeria face enrollment capacity limitations and cost barriers that prevent millions of qualified students from accessing higher education.
The partnership between WorldQuant University and Renewed Hope Global represents an alternative pathway for young Nigerians seeking technical qualifications without the financial burden typically associated with tertiary education, potentially addressing gaps in the country's higher education landscape through digital solutions.
