Ekiti State University Admission Requirements 2025/2026

These are the additional criteria you must meet to qualify for admission to EKSU.

  1. Applicants should ensure that EKSU is selected as their first choice institution. Those who haven’t done so must request a change of institution through JAMB to be eligible to apply for admission.  

  2. All applicants are required to have at least 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level, in no more than 2 sittings.  

  3. You must confirm that you have chosen the appropriate Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) subject combination for your selected course.  

  4. You need to attain a minimum score of 150 in the recently completed JAMB UTME examination. Check the table above with the cut off marks to verify your specific cut off mark.  

  5. Be sure that you will be at least 16 years old by the time you gain admission.  

It is important to meet these criteria; only those who do will be included in the Ekiti State University admission list for 2025/2026.

EKSU Admission Screening Procedures

Ekiti State University conducts its admission screening procedures over a period of one or two weeks, typically in two parts. First;

  1. Students who have applied to the university should begin the pre-screening process as soon as it is announced.

  2. The necessary documents for the pre-screening include the SSCE results and the JAMB registration printout only.

  3. Candidates must ensure they arrive early and find their designated screening location as soon as possible. 

  4. Screening will be conducted based on both the JAMB scores and the SSCE results.

The second phase of the screening occurs after the release of the admission lists. Candidates who qualify for admission will be invited for an additional screening session. During this session, all necessary documents must be provided, including:

  1. Original copies of educational qualifications (Statements of Results/Certificates). Awaiting results will NOT be accepted.

  2. Birth Certificate or Age Declaration.

  3. A letter of good conduct from the village head or a respected member of the community, or a civil servant not below Grade Level 10, or an equivalent position in the private sector.
