If you are a Nigerian student who got into school through a way other than JAMB, like pre-degree, part-time, or direct entry, or if you were accepted without being properly documented by JAMB, you may have heard the term "JAMB regularisation".
Regularisation is how JAMB helps you fix or finish your admission record so you can get your admission letter, sign up for NYSC, or just make sure your information is correct in their system.
Below, we have explained the things you need for JAMB regularisation, a simple guide and common mistakes to avoid.Â
Requirements for JAMB Regularisation 2026
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has certain requirements that candidates must meet before they can apply for JAMB regularisation.Â
For a smooth and successful application, it's important to make sure that all of your documents and information are correct. The main requirements for JAMB regularisation are:
A valid admission letter from your university, polytechnic, or college of education.
JAMB registration number (if already registered) or information from your admissions process.
Personal identification, such as a national ID, an international passport, or a voter card.
Correct course and institution information for verification.
Paying the JAMB regularisation fee at banks that are approved or online.
Candidates must ensure that all documents are authentic and correspond to the information on their school admission records. Submitting incorrect information may result in rejection or delays in the regularisation process.
Steps to a Successful JAMB Regularisation Procedure
Follow the simple steps below to complete your regularisation smoothly:
Visit the official JAMB portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng.
On the homepage, select "Create e-Facility Account".
Please enter your full name, email address, and phone number.
After you submit your information, JAMB will send you a confirmation email. To complete your registration, open the email and follow the instructions inside.
To log in, enter your registered email address and the password you created. This will take you to your dashboard.
On the dashboard, find and click the option labelled "Late Application" (Regularisation).
Enter all necessary personal, academic, and admission information. Ensure that every piece of information is correct.
You will be asked to upload documents such as an admission letter, O-Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB), a passport photograph, and any other documents necessary for your case.
The regularisation fee is ₦10,000, excluding charges. Go to the payment section and pay with Remita. You'll get a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and a Transaction ID.
Before submitting, ensure that all of the information you entered is correct and matches your school records.
When you're certain everything is correct, click Submit to finish the process.
After submitting, you'll be able to print your indemnity form. Take it to your school for signature and further processing. JAMB will not process your application until your school returns the authorised form to them.
How Long Does JAMB Regularisation Take?
The JAMB regularisation process typically takes 2 to 6 weeks, depending on how quickly your school signs and submits your indemnity form and how quickly JAMB processes it.
So, if you intend to participate in NYSC or need to clear at your institution, you must begin as early as possible.
Without completing this process, you may be unable to be mobilised for NYSC, and your school may not clear you.
