All candidates who selected LASU in the 2025 UTME examination and scored above 195, which is the minimum score for application, are invited to visit the university portal, pay the application fee of 2,000 naira and fill out the needed information for the exercise.

Candidates Eligible for LASU Post UTME Screening

Candidates who wish to participate in the Lagos State University Post UTME screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session must meet the eligibility requirements set by the university. These requirements are

  1. Candidates who have chosen Lagos State University as their first choice of institution in the 2026 UTME and have scored a minimum of 195, which is the screening cut off mark.

  2. Candidates who are above 16 years of age before the admission exercise.

  3. All Pre degree studies (PDS) students who have completed their studies and wish to be considered for admission into LASU in the 2026/2027 academic session must have chosen Lagos State University as their first choice of institution in the 2026 UTME.

  4. All direct entry candidates, including LASU Foundation (JUPEB), who wish to be considered for admission into Lagos State University for the 2026/2027 academic session must have obtained a direct entry form from JAMB and must have chosen LASU as their first choice of institution.

  5. Candidates of Lagos State origin, for 100 and 200 levels, who have proved their claims before the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) set up by Lagos State University, will have their claims automatically validated in the online admission screening exercise.

Applying for the Lagos State University Post UTME screening exercise is an important step for candidates seeking admission into the university for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Follow these steps to complete the LASU admission screening process:

  1. Visit the LASU official website: https://www.lasu.edu.ng/

  2. Place your cursor on Student and click New Applicants.

  3. Select UTME/DE Screening or proceed directly to the LASU admission screening portal.

  4. Click on UTME Candidate Login.

  5. Enter your JAMB registration number and surname, then click Submit.

  6. Click Make Payment (Admission Screening).

  7. On the payment page, enter your JAMB registration number.

  8. Select Admission Screening Fee as the payment description.

  9. Choose Ojo as the campus.

  10. Select Student under the category section.

  11. Complete the payment process and return to your dashboard.

  12. Click Start Admission Screening.

Important Note

Candidates who need to update their information or correct previously submitted records can complete the screening process again. However, LASU requires payment for every correction or update made after the initial submission.

Candidates can also carry out a fresh screening to change their course of study. Any subsequent screening exercise or correction attracts an additional payment.

  3. Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering requires a credit pass in Further Mathematics.

  4. A credit in English Language is compulsory for admission into all courses at Lagos State University

  5. Candidates must ENSURE they upload their O-level results on JAMB CAPS before the closure of the admission screening exercise.

  6. Candidates of Lagos State origin must have proved their claims before the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) set up by Lagos State University, as their claims will be automatically validated before they can proceed with the online screening.

STEP IV
