The Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, will hold its 24th Professorial Inaugural Lecture on Thursday, 30th July 2026, at 10:30am, at the JN Garba Hall, Ribadu Campus.

The lecture, themed "Accounting Is Everybody's Business," will be delivered by Professor Terzungwe Nyor, a Professor of Accounting, Fellow of the Institute of Public Sector Accountants, and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

The event has been convened at the invitation of the Commandant of the Academy, Major General OT Olatoye, with the Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, expected to attend as Special Guest of Honour.

Professor Nyor holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Accounting from Bayero University, Kano, obtained in 1989 and 2008, respectively, and a PhD in Accounting from the Nigerian Defence Academy, completed in 2011. He is a practising Company Secretary, Tax Consultant, Management Consultant, and Accounting System Designer, alongside more than two decades of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Within the Academy, Nyor served as Head of the Department of Accounting and Management for two consecutive terms between 2013 and 2017, before pioneering and now heading the Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, established in 2018. His research spans financial accounting and reporting, taxation, auditing, and corporate finance, with published work examining the value relevance of accounting information and capital structure in listed Nigerian firms.

Members of the academic community, students, and the general public are expected to attend the lecture, which forms part of the Academy's ongoing series of professorial inaugural lectures showcasing scholarly contributions from its faculty.
