Admission Requirements for Nigerian Maritime University

For you to gain admission into NMU, you must meet the following requirements.

  • Must possess 5 O'level Credits, which should include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one other relevant subject (such as Biology, Geography or Technical Drawing).

  • Your UTME Subject Combination should be English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

  • Candidates who meet the cut off mark will be invited for an internal screening or Post UTME exam.

  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old by the time of admission.

For Direct Entry:

Have a minimum of upper credit in relevant ND/NCE programs or two A Level passes in related science subjects.

Those with OND in Marine engineering, Nautical Science or related fields stand a better chance of getting admitted.
